Climbing in Tempi Valley, Larisa prefecture

The lower section at Tempi valley is a climbing sector that becomes more and more popular, especially because climbers from Larisa have organized and equipped the sector with many new routes, some hard and some easier.. There are also many potential more new routes to be drilled. The rock is featured with columns and tufas with and slightly overhang. The sector is ideal for the winter and climbable during the summer only late in the afternoon.

Approach

While driving from Thessaloniki to Larisa and right before the small bridge that you enter to Tempi valley, there is a parking place on the left (opposite) side of the road. It's a little bit dangerous to take the turn so be extra careful. When you access the parking next to the small building(right next to the tunnel that the train is passing by) just follow the old rails to the direction of Larisa and you will find the sector on your right hand, after approximately 10min of easy walking.

Routes from right to left

all the routes can be free climbed with a 60m rope
